Introducing AirWEB Mobile

Trondent Deploys Next Generation Itinerary Management Systems with AirWEB Express and AirWEB Mobile Apps for iPhone and Android

BARRINGTON, IL – July 10, 2012 –Trondent Development Corp., a leading provider of technology solutions and data management services to the global travel industry, announced the release of its most sophisticated versions of browser and App-based itinerary management systems with AirWEB Express and AirWEB Mobile. Fully customizable, the itinerary management systems are available on the web or through a free App download via iTunes and Google Play.

For almost 20 years, Trondent has delivered hundreds of millions of highly customized e-itineraries and e-invoices via AirWEB Express, and AirMAIL & AirFAX.  Recognizing the increasing use of smartphones for travel-related activities and the need for even more relevant and robust travel-related content while on the road, Trondent has deployed native AirWEB Mobile Apps for iPhone and Android, which can be private-labeled to display a corporate brand.  Where needed, travelers can monitor an unlimited number of other travelers’ itineraries (permission-based) in addition to their own.  Trip notifications are sent directly to the traveler’s device, to ensure that time-sensitive information is always at the traveler’s fingertips.  Offered as an entirely GDS, OBT and mid-office system agnostic product, AirWEB Mobile is available to all travelers that arrange their trips through a Trondent-connected travel provider.

“Today’s road warrior demands a mobile itinerary management App that will help them avoid travel disruptions and ultimately facilitate a successful end-to-end travel experience” says David Wood, Trondent’s President and CEO.  “Electronic itinerary management has been a core competency of Trondent since our company was founded in 1994.  For most of our clients, it would be cost-prohibitive for them to build and maintain their own, customized mobile itinerary management App.  By outsourcing their itinerary management needs in the form of a private-labeled App, this enables our customers to focus more on their core business” continued Wood.

Coinciding with the deployment of AirWEB Mobile, Trondent has started a phased roll out of AirWEB Express, the company’s browser-based tool giving TMCs the ability to quickly, easily and cost-effectively design and deploy private labeled itinerary management websites hosted under personalized URLs.

“In 2009, Trondent launched ProFILER Express, an industry recognized innovation, giving our customers the ability to easily create and design a branded profile management website”, says David Wood.  “In response to a similar emerging need, AirWEB Express empowers TMCs to control the design and content of their itinerary and invoice retrieval site.  Originally introduced to the travel industry as ‘AirWEB’ over a decade ago, we consider AirWEB Express to be the next generation in online itinerary management systems” continued Wood.

With the release of both new products, not only do corporations and agencies have the ability to quickly implement a branded App or website for their travelers, but as well, travelers have greater access to content features relevant and critical to “travelers on the go.”  TravelGUIDE, offered as an integrated  feature, provides destination information and services that can be tailored to each traveler’s specific needs and interests.  Whether the traveler is looking for an Italian restaurant close to their hotel, or a five-day weather forecast, TravelGUIDE is the ultimate mobile traveling companion.

Additionally, both platforms provide access to real-time flight status, departure gate details and baggage claim information.
