Trondent Rolls Out Pre-Trip Authorization Enhancements, Offering more controls and flexibility.
BARRINGTON, IL – May 1, 2013 – Trondent Development Corp., a provider of web and mobile applications to the corporate travel industry, continues to enhance AirWEB Authorizer, its market leading pre-trip approval system, with numerous new features.
The most recent release allows for the capture of multiple, low fares declined by travelers so they can be displayed in a clean, graphically pleasing way on the website and in emails, so that approvers can make sure their travelers are always securing the most cost effective fares. The displays to approvers include details on airfare, flight departure/arrival time, airline and number of stops. This will ensure that more informed decisions can be made around traveler costs. “There is also a degree of ‘visual guilt’ when travelers book, knowing that their approvers will be seeing a comprehensive list of fares declined by travelers,” stated David Wood, President and CEO of Trondent, “and this helps to facilitate optimal adherence to travel policy”, continued Wood.
Trondent’s pre-trip authorization application has been recognized as one of the industry’s most flexible systems allowing for multiple approval models, various avenues for approvals (smartphone, web, email and admin) and the most extensive levels of approver hierarchy. To expand upon the product’s vision, specifically to be so customizable that it can be configured to support any organization’s unique approval process, additional flexibilities and controls have been incorporated. For example, there are greater controls on who can be assigned as an Out of Office proxy for an approver and in which scenarios an approver will be required to provide comments relative to an itinerary that is either approved, declined or requires changes. Additionally, the product incorporates a redesigned email notification system based upon significant market research and existing customer feedback. Key features allow the user to configure email communication activities such as alerts, notifications and authorization status.
Finally, more advanced logic has been introduced into the product that will more proactively manage error scenarios, such as incorrect or conflicting email address issues, so that agency partners will know immediately when an error occurs and how to fix it, thereby ensuring that processing and ticketing deadlines are not impacted.
Another release of the AirWEB Authorizer product, expected in the second half of 2013, will provide a robust, client admin reporting capability, providing valuable data and metrics around the approval process.
